We arrived at 6:15 PM' after the 6 pm closing time. The sign on the office door stated "Find an empty campsite and pay in the morning". After getting leveled and starting to hook up the manager showed up and said we had to move as he had just rented this site to someone else. The park was basically empty except for the permanent residents so there were plenty of other sites available so we begrudgingly moved. Next we asked about WI-FI and were told it was $10 a day; outrageous. The park itself is old but clean; sites are small and not very level. Our 50 amp power worked fine but the neighbors next to us had to plug into the 30 amp on our pole as theirs would not work and neither would their neighbors on the other side. The location is good for touring Graceland, but this is not a neighborhood you would want to be walking in at night. I don't think we would stay here again.
This is a small well kept campground behind Cookie's Antique world. Although probably not a destination type campground it is close to Branson and could be used as a base. The power, water, and Wi-Fi were all excellent and, road noise was at a minimum. The normal rate is $15 a night but we stayed under Passport America for only $7.50. A great place to stay and we would stop again if ever in the area.
I read the other reviews but came anyway since the park had wi-fi, a pool, and a hot tub, along with being next to the casino. For our $20 we got a somewhat level site in a blacktop parking lot. The pool and hot tub have been shut down and drained. The wi-fi worked the first day we were here but then went down. When I reported it to the office no one knew what to do and it stayed down for two days. Someone else wrote about the loose aggressive dogs and they are still here. The casino was not too bad but $22.95 for what I consider a small buffet was a bit much. We most probably will not return if we can find somewhere else to stay the next time we are in this area.
Although close to the freeway the noise was not excessive. The staff was very friendly and helpful even assisting us in maneuvering to our site. WI-Fi was good although it dropped a couple of times but, they were glad to reset it when advised it was out. There is a large desert area just outside the park for pet walking. We did not use the pool or laundry facilities but the looked clean and neat. We were there for a week using our Enjoy America membership and will return again.
We love this park and have stayed there many times under RPI. This year they dropped out of RPI and we had to pay $40 for the same sites in the low rent district in the back of the park that we stayed in before. A lot of money for what you get.
